Expose: Delhi Governor orders probe in to AAP govt forged Governor approval letter

Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has not only returned a file on the app-based ‘Premium Bus Scheme’ proposed by the AAP government, he has also alleged that the scheme appeared to have been launched to “benefit one company”.

Earlier this month, the Delhi government had issued a notification on the Premium Bus Scheme. Jung had then pointed out that his approval had not been sought over the issue and asked for the file pertaining to the scheme.

“The Lt Governor has refused to give go-ahead to the government’s notified app-based premium bus scheme which was not introduced as per laid down rules. The LG has also sought explanation from the transport commissioner and asked him to file his reply within three days,” a source said.

However, here is the letter Sanjay Kumar claims to have approval from Lt Jung.

Jung has also sought disciplinary action against the official who notified the scheme — Transport Commissioner Sanjay Kumar — for doing so without approval from the Lt Governor’s office, said sources.

What is APP based Bus service?

The government had earlier announced its decision to introduce app-based AC buses under an aggregator scheme, in a bid to provide a comfortable ride to those who commute by public transport to work, especially during the odd-even scheme.
